Mie Thousing
Mie is a doula student who began her studies in the fall of 2022. Mie has been living and working in Iceland as a kindergarten-, swim- and children’s yoga teacher for the last 3 years. What’s more, she has many years of experience as a masseuse and energy therapist.
Mie is from Denmark but has lived in many different countries over the last 20 years. She is very interested in other cultures and open to new experiences. She also has a background of working with disabled children and adults who are unable to speak. Mie always finds a way to connect and communicate while being observant and aware of what is unspoken.
After becoming pregnant in 2020, Mie became very interested in pregnancy and birth. In fact, she was so interested in the topic that she decided to become a doula prior to the birth of her son. Mie is dedicated to helping families experience a good pregnancy and a beautiful birth. She speaks Danish, English, Scandinavian and understands intermediate Icelandic. She is located in Hella and will be practicing as a doula in south Iceland.
